It's Real Simple: March Madness is Here

It's March and the madness is setting in. My sports fan/husband Bryan is an ardent fan of NCAA basketball, and the tournaments will begin soon. He will fret over brackets, and basketballs will fly across the television screen. The picture in this entry is circa 1950s. It's my Uncle Lee, who is one of the contributors to my Sports Widowhood. So here's a salute to my Uncle Lee and my beloved fan, Bryan.

My favorite magazine is Real Simple, and my family likes to tease me about this, claiming that "real simple" is the right level for me and my intellect. I just scoff at them, because in my heart of hearts I know that I am a MENSA. Anyway, the March issue of Real Simple summed up March Madness. Here's what it said:
1.2 billion.
The estimated dollar amount employers nationwide could lose in productivity during the NCAA men's basketball tournament, as employees direct their attention to filling out the perfect bracket.
